What we collect, and when

When you ask us to contact you

The estimate form on this site sends us:

Along with those, we record the page you submitted from, your browser's user-agent string, any referral code in the link you followed, the time, and — if you used the estimate tool first — the answers you gave it and the planning range it produced. We keep a status on each enquiry so we know whether we have called you back.

When you ask Sparko a question

Sparko is the assistant in the corner of this site. What you type is sent to Anthropic, which runs the language model that writes the answer. Do not type anything into it you would not want processed by a third party — account numbers, card details, and medical or financial information do not belong there.

We also record your IP address with a timestamp, purely to count requests and stop one script running up a bill. That row is deleted automatically once it is more than an hour old, and it is not linked to your enquiry or to you by name.

When you use the estimate tool or the dealer portal

Those run on the Maxify platform, operated by HDM Capital LLC, which processes what you enter there on our behalf — including a utility bill if you upload one for reading. If you sign in as a dealer, that platform sets a session cookie so it can keep you signed in. Its own terms and cookie notice apply to that part of the service in addition to this policy.

Things this site does not do

There is no advertising network on this site, no tracking pixel, no analytics product, and no cross-site profiling. We do not sell or share personal information, and we do not use it for targeted advertising. The marketing pages set no cookies at all — see the cookie notice.

Who else sees it

• Cloudflare — hosts this site and the database the enquiry is stored in.
• Anthropic — processes Sparko conversations.
• HDM Capital LLC (Maxify) — operates the estimate tool and dealer portal.
• Google Fonts — the typefaces load from Google's servers, which means Google receives your IP address when a page loads.
• A roofing contractor, only if you ask us to coordinate a re-roof and only what they need to schedule it. We are electricians; we do not do roofing.

We do not sell your information to lead brokers. If a legal process ever compelled disclosure, we would comply with it, and tell you unless we were prohibited from doing so.

How long we keep it

Enquiries are kept while we might reasonably still be doing business — for work we actually performed, that means as long as the records relating to that job need to exist. Sparko's rate-limit rows last under an hour. Ask us to delete an enquiry and we will, except where a record has to be kept for a job we did.

Your choices

• Ask what we hold about you, and we will tell you.
• Ask us to correct it or delete it.
• Reply STOP to any text to stop texts. That works whatever else you have agreed to.
• Ask us not to call, and we will not.

Children

This is a site for people who own or manage buildings. It is not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18.

Changes

If this policy changes, the date at the top changes with it. Material changes to how we handle information already collected will be told to you directly, not just posted here.
